Put a note in your diary to come along to StrathPetal - Strathpeffer‘s Open Gardens weekend on 16 and 17 August 2025.
You’ll be welcomed through the gates of around 20 privately owned gardens in this Victorian village, enjoy live music in the village square as well as home-made tea and cakes, and you’ll be able to hitch a ride on a MacBrayne’s vintage bus to get to the next garden!
Strathpeffer is quite unlike other Highland villages. Its eccentrically beautiful architecture surrounds its pavilion, fountains and enormous hotels evoking its past as a Victorian spa resort.
Money from the event will go to Alzheimer Scotland and local projects.

Strathpetal 2024 was a big success!
What an amazing weekend we had welcoming visitors to our gardens last June. Huge thanks to garden owners; volunteers, those who donated prizes, baking, plants, their musical ability, bus-driving skills, car-parking space, money, goodwill and TIME!
